It has been a while since we graced you with a healthy treat to get you through the diet grind. Here is one we have been snacking on during comp build ups with a low regret factor.
INGREDIENTS
1 Cup of your preferred natural yogurt
1.5 Medium ripe bananas
1 Cup of almond meal
1 tsp of vanilla essence
1 Tbs pf natural honey
1 tsp of cinnamon
1 Egg
1/2 Cup of desiccated coconut
METHOD
1. Pre-heat a fan forced oven to 160.
2. Finely mash your banana and combine with all ingredients.
3. In a large mixing bowl beat all ingredients together until you have a batter like consistency.
4. Distribute mix into either ramekins or a small baking dish, if using ramekins ensure you surround them in water.
5. Bake for 35 minutes or until the batter begins to brown and crack.
Enjoy with your favourite fruit or a scoop of natural yogurt either hot or cold (we prefer cold).
